According to an All-Russian study (conducted by the ORO marketing research agency commissioned by AIRIS in 2023), the share of Russians who are ready to visit gambling zones is 80%. At the same time, a quarter of them are determined to visit gambling zones due to the high interest in event activities in gambling clusters.
Recall that the members of the AIRIS Association are: Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone (Sochi), Siberian Coin gambling zone (Altai), Tigre de Cristal Casino (Vladivostok), SOBRANIE Casino (Kaliningrad).
It is important to say that over the past 4 years, all gambling zones have been recording a trend towards a progressive increase in the number of guests. Thus, in 2023, gambling zones received more than 1,500,000 visitors.
It should be mentioned that 49% of Russians understand that there are entertainment events and event tourism activities on the territory of gambling zones. 68% are open to the idea of event tourism in the future, and 31% have had experience of event tourism in the last 2 years.
These data, prepared by the ORO agency, allow us to conclude that there is a favorable environment in society for the development of event tourism.
On March 19, AIRIS Executive Director Dmitry Anfinogenov was one of the experts at the 30th MITT Tourism and Hospitality Industry Exhibition in Moscow. "Event tourism is undoubtedly an important growth point for the gambling business. Therefore, gambling zones reacted in a timely manner to new trends in tourism, one of which was the formed need for additional emotions.
Quite simply, people need bright and memorable entertainment, one change of scenery, climate and habitual activities is no longer enough.
In my opinion, the current focus of the State on the development of domestic tourism and all its subspecies is fully consistent with the current strategy for the development of gambling zones. Gambling clusters can enhance the tourist attractiveness of our country for foreign visitors, while raising the demand for trips to their home regions for domestic tourists," Dmitry Anfinogenov noted.
