Note that last year the number of Russians who decided to spend the New Year holidays in Russian casinos amounted to almost 53,000 people. The breakdown by gambling zone is as follows: the Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone was visited by 32,587 people, the Siberian Coin - 3,914 people, the Tigre de Cristal casino in Primorye - 8,955 people, the Yantarnaya in Kaliningrad - 7,457 people.
The total increase in guests during the New Year holidays for the entire gambling industry will be 15-20%. A similar forecast was shared by Dmitry Anfinogenov, executive director of the Association of Operators of the Entertainment Industry and Sports and Entertainment Events (AIRIS): “All gambling clusters are actively preparing for the New Year holidays. The first week of the new year is traditionally extremely busy for the entire tourism and entertainment industry in Russia. Gambling zones, in this sense, are no exception. All 4 gambling locations are integrated into the tourism industry.
Let me note that all gambling zones generate an additional flow of guests to their regions thanks to a rich calendar of entertainment events. This applies not only to the New Year holidays, but occurs all year round.
As for the first week of the new year, I predict an increase in the number of guests at 15-20% for all gambling zones. This forecast was made on the basis of the general trend towards a progressive increase in attendance at Russian casinos in different periods over the past three years: the summer holiday season, the off-season, the May and New Year holidays.
The second growth factor will be the increased activity of gambling zones in the field of event tourism. Gambling clusters create many additional activities that can attract more guests: gastronomic dinners, theatrical performances, sports shows and a busy calendar of concerts by show business stars and much more.
All these events will become additional incentives to visit gambling zones for a variety of guests who previously perceived casinos only as a place for gambling.”
