It is interesting to note that all gambling zones show steady growth when compared to the same summer period over the past few years. Executive Director of the Russian Gambling Business Association Dmitry Anfinogenov named the reasons for the annual increase in attendance of gambling zones in the summer: “First of all, I want to congratulate the gambling zones on the increase in attendance. And I want to note that such indicators can be achieved in the almost complete absence of foreign tourists, who, even before 2020, were actively visiting Sochi, Altai, Kaliningrad and Vladivostok. We see that the gambling business has supported the trend towards the development of domestic tourism in Russia. By building new hotels and entertainment facilities, as well as strengthening the event calendar in the off-season, Russian casinos have made their regions even more attractive to tourists.
In turn, our citizens actually began to travel more. But the approach to recreation has changed, now people want to receive high-level service, a variety of entertainment, and most importantly, new emotions.
It is these needs that today can close gambling zones. Russian casinos have expanded their entertainment options, focusing on concerts, shows, business events, sporting events, gastronomy and even wellness treatments.
All these are the results of a new strategy for the development of the gambling business, and by analyzing such data, we are convinced of its effectiveness.”
