All gambling zones of the country will take part in the project: Krasnaya Polyana (Sochi), Tigre de Cristal Casino (Primorye), Sibirskaya Moneta (Altai), and SOBRANIE Casino (Kaliningrad Region). The initiative is aimed at supporting the tourist flow to the regions where gambling zones are based during the off-season.
As part of the Russian Casino Week, gambling zones will offer tourists special offers for accommodation, meals, and event entertainment programs in order to support domestic tourism. The variety of recreation scenarios is intended to expand leisure opportunities and promises to interest both new tourists and regular visitors to the resorts.
The organizers emphasize that the Russian Casino Week is aimed not only at increasing tourist activity during the off-season, but also at popularizing event tourism, which is becoming an important component of the development of regions seeking to receive guests on a year-round basis.
AIRIS Executive Director Dmitry Anfinogenov commented on the upcoming project: “Russian gambling zones are important centers of event tourism in their regions. We created the “Russian Casino Week” project to support the tourism industry during the off-season. A diverse event program and unique offers will allow guests to discover Russian resorts from a new side. Tourists will be able to enjoy natural attractions, appreciate local gastronomy and become guests of vibrant entertainment events prepared by gambling zones. We are confident that this project will become an annual event and will develop, attracting more and more domestic and foreign tourists.”
The idea of holding “Russian Casino Week” arose last year at the AIRIS gambling summit, where the issue of the importance of developing event tourism to maintain a constant tourist flow was raised. This year, the summit will again be held on November 21 in the Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone and will become the key business event within the framework of “Russian Casino Week”. The summit will bring together leading experts in the gambling industry, top managers of gambling zones, and representatives of government agencies. Participants will discuss a draft law on the inclusion of the gambling business in the tourism industry. As well as the results of the year, new projects and key challenges facing the gambling industry. One of the topics of the summit will be the development of tourism in the context of the transformation of gambling zones into multifunctional entertainment clusters.
The organizers plan to make the project "Casino Week of Russia" an annual event. In the future, the project may become an important element in the development of event tourism in Russia, helping regions to develop their tourism programs and attract new guests not only at the height of the season, but also during periods of seasonal decline.
