Once upon a time in the 2000s, the song “From London to Paris” stayed at the top of the charts of every radio station across Russia for 17 weeks in a row. And if that route is still your main musical and geographical reference point, then we have great news for you. Whether it is a coincidence or the magic of numbers, it is on 17 September that the performer of that hit, Irakli, will take to the Boomerang Casino stage!  

Truth be told, Irakli Pirtskhalava’s story could have taken an entirely different turn. As a child, he was seriously determined to become a professional football player. At the age of 13, the boy’s dream prevailed, and for two years he played for the Lokomotiv youth team. But his mother had her own plans for her son’s future – she insisted on music school and violin lessons. Football ultimately lost, and we were gifted one of the most charismatic artists with a passionate Georgian soul, a standout graduate of the legendary Star Factory 2 TV show, a finalist in other popular television projects, and the winner of five Golden Gramophone statuettes.

But there will be no violin études on the Boomerang Casino stage – only pure drive, a touch of nostalgia, and familiar songs: “Vova-Chuma”, “Make a Step”, “Drops of Absinthe”, and many others.
